FAQ

No, the Sinolink eSIM only includes mobile data for the travel destination country/region, and does not include a local number for making calls or sending text messages, unless using a VOIP application (such as LINE, Message/WhatsApp, or Skype). The Sinolink eSIM card is for mobile data usage only. Please set your eSIM as the mobile data plan on your phone.

Whether a device is eSIM-compatible depends on whether the manufacturer includes an eSIM. That's why we have a list of eSIM-compatible devices for easy checking.
In some countries and regions, there may be models released without eSIM capability. Or, the carrier you purchased your device from may not have an eSIM feature enabled.
Follow the steps below to check if your iOS device supports eSIM technology. Please remember that the steps may or may not apply to your device. The best way to confirm eSIM capability is still through your device manufacturer, vendor, or primary carrier.

Steps:
OPEN the Settings app, then TAP General.
TAP About.
TAP the Model Number until it changes to an AXXXX combination.
VERIFY that the Model Number of your iPhone does not originate from a Chinese region. The information can be found in this link.

If the model number does not match any of the China mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao variants, your device should be eSIM-compatible as long as it supports cellular functionality.
Remember to check with your device manufacturer, vendor, or primary carrier to confirm eSIM capability if you're still unsure.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our support team, and we'll be happy to help!

Android Setup Instructions

Step 1
Check Your Device's eSIM Compatibility
Visit the signalmart.hk website. On the product details page, you will find a link to check compatibility, which will help you verify if your device is supported.

Step 2
Install Your eSIM: On your Android device, go to Settings.
Navigate to Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Advanced > Carrier > Add Carrier. Then, scan the QR code you received in your email or manually enter the activation code when prompted.

Step 3
Set as Primary or Secondary Plan
Go to Settings > Network & Internet to manage or select the Signalmart eSIM as your primary or secondary data plan.

Step 4
Check Data Roaming
Ensure that Data Roaming is turned on. You can find this option by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Data Roaming.

Yes, your eSIM is designed to be used only on a single device, cannot be reused after removal, and cannot be scanned or reactivated on multiple devices.

Yes. Delete the eSIM on the original device in Settings - Network - eSIM. Then use the new device to scan the QR code/enter the activation code to activate the eSIM, and you can transfer the eSIM. We support one eSIM card to be activated and installed 4 times on the same device/different devices.

Yes, many of our plans allow unlimited hotspot sharing. However, this feature depends on your device model. Some devices may not support eSIM hotspot sharing. We suggest you confirm compatibility with your phone manufacturer for accurate information.

Check data usage on your device

On iPhone: Go to Settings > Cellular → Scroll down to see which apps are using cellular data. To restrict an app from using mobile data, toggle it off (it will then only use Wi-Fi). To check system services usage: Scroll to the bottom and tap System Services (Note: Cellular data for system services cannot be disabled individually).

On iPad: Go to Settings > Cellular Data → Scroll down to view apps using data. Follow the same steps as on iPhone to manage usage and reset statistics. To reset data usage statistics: Go to Settings > Cellular Data → Tap Reset Statistics. This starts a new tracking period for your data usage.

On Android: Open Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage → Check total usage or review consumption per app.
